Casa Camilla is the first Bed & Breakfast in the heart of the historical town of Massafra (Ta). Situated in the very old neighborhood "Gesù Bambino", at the entrance of Via Muro, the most striking street in the historical town. The building dates back to the second half of the 19th century; the inside and the outside have been completely restored; elegant, comfortable, technological, it complies with the architectural and stylistic peculiarities of the time. Inside, you will feel like being backwards in time: furniture, doors and frames, the typical cross vault made of ashlars, the decorated floors will let the guests deep in the atmosphere of an 18th century mansion of Massafra.
The Cave Museum
In the basement of Casa Camilla, the guests might enjoy the typical "Cave Museum" dating back to the 6th century AD, where Massafra community used to live together with their animals. Inside theses communicating rooms, which are completely excavated in the rock, you can admire the craft workshop for the production of "coccio pesto", the stables and the residents' rooms.
The Terrace
Up on the terrace you will be served with your breakfast in a friendly and warm atmosphere; otherwise, during the hot season, you can enjoy it outside under a comfortable gazebo. From above, you might enjoy Baby Jesus Sanctuary or scan the Jonic Bay and Sila Mountains in Calabria at the horizon. Inside Casa Camilla is available angle cooking for the preparation of meals. Breakfast is prepared and served by personal service with a choice between the National Anglo-Saxon or Mediterranean. Casa Camilla offers guests quality and authenticity of ingredients and products.
